GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates eligible for GATE 2026 must be in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate program or have completed a government-approved degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities.
- Professional certifications from societies such as IE, ICE, IETE, AeSI, IIChE, IIM, and IIIE are also accepted, provided the exams are recognized by MoE, AICTE, UGC, or UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Planning.
- Applicants from other countries must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years or be in the 3rd year of their program. Candidates with higher degrees than specified are also eligible.
Note: Candidates with B.Sc./B.A./B.Com. aiming for master’s programs in IITs should check JAM 2026 conducted by IIT Delhi.
