Sainik School Admission 2026-27 Age Criteria

AISSEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Class VI Admission:

  • Age between 10 and 12 years as of 31 March 2026 (born between 01 April 2014 and 31 March 2016).
  • Admission open to both boys and girls with the same age criteria.

For Class IX Admission:

  • Age between 13 and 15 years as of 31 March 2026 (born between 01 April 2011 and 31 March 2013).
  • Must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school.

  • Signature: Scanned image, 10–50 KB, JPG format.
  • Left-Hand Thumb Impression: 10–50 KB, JPG format (use right thumb if left is unavailable).
  • Date of Birth Certificate: Issued by a competent authority.
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Caste/Community/Category Certificate (if applicable).
  • Defence Category Certificate: Certificate of service or PPO for ex-servicemen, if applicable.
  • School Certificate: From Principal, certifying study in an approved New Sainik School (if applicable).
